Brass Roots extends In-House Electronics Hardware Design Capabilities

Brass Roots has added Mentor Graphics® PADS design tools to support growing demand for high-speed PCB design. Brass Roots Technologies today announced the acquisition of a precision Vertical Machining Center. The new asset will directly support Brass Roots' custom engineering design and prototyping business.

Brass Roots unveils Gibralter™ IP Core

Today Brass Roots Technologies unveiled an advanced video / graphics processing architecture. The Gibraltar™ PWM Processing architecture offers real-time conversion of high-bandwidth video / graphics data into accurate gray-scale weighted and multi-toned Bit Planes optimized for PWM-based display technologies. The configurable firmware IP core is optimized for the latest generation of programmable devices, such as Xilinx® 7 Series FPGAs. Companion Gibraltar™ Development Tools used to create custom sequences tailored for specific applications incorporate advanced artifact mitigation as well as quantitative evaluation using metrics accurately calibrated to the human visual system. 

Brass Roots joins the Xilinx Alliance Program

Brass Roots Technologies has become a member of the Xilinx Alliance Program, a prestigious worldwide eco-system of qualified companies committed to helping mutual customers develop advanced products more quickly and with lower development risk. To achieve membership in the program, Brass Roots has demonstrated advanced video processing firmware design expertise using the latest generation of Xilinx programmable FPGA's, including Vertex-6 and Kintex-7 families.

Brass Roots announces Staff and Office Expansions

Brass Roots today announces expanded staffing and facilities in response to strong customer demand and project workload. Wayne Reynolds, VP of Business Development, said "We have been extremely fortunate to have experienced significant customer interest for custom engineered solutions. To meet that demand we've more than doubled our staff over the last year. Today we have a resource pool of twelve full-time / part-time employees and contractors, and we foresee additional resource additions over the coming year."

Brass Roots opens New Corporate Offices

Brass Roots proudly announces the opening of new corporate headquarters in Plano, Texas. The new facility provides 3,500 sq ft of mixed offices and lab areas equiped for the development of advanced optical, electronic and mechanical systems.
